bean sprouts

5 oz bean sprouts

shaoxing wine

2 tsp shaoxing wine

corn starch

½ tbsp corn starch

oil

beef

oyster sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce

white pepper

¼ tsp white pepper

Instructions

1: Prepare the ingredients: Slice flank steak beef into thin slices and add it to a bowl. Marinate with wine, soy sauce, white pepper powder, and baking soda. Mix in water and corn starch for a velvety texture and oil to lock in the moisture. Set aside.

2: Cut scallions into 2-inch pieces.

3: Cut rice noodles. If the noodles are pre-packaged/not fresh, you may need to microwave them to soften them, so they don’t break when you stir fry them.

4: Heat up the pan & stir fry the beef until 90% cooked. Set aside.

5: Fry minced garlic until golden brown.

6: Add in the scallions, bean sprouts & rice noodles. Stir fry until hot and cooked.

7: Add seasonings: wine, oyster sauce, soy sauce & white pepper. Mix well with the ingredients.

8: Add in the beef. Give a few tosses & stir fry a bit more until everything is well combined.

9: Serve & enjoy.
