A comforting dish that combines salted fish and pork belly, creating a delightful meat patty served over rice. The nostalgic flavors are reminiscent of childhood favorites.
Cut a small piece of salted fish. Steam it for 10 minutes or until soft.
Measure out the rice. Wash two times with cold water. Add water. Start the rice cooker.
Slice & chop pork belly. Add water chestnuts to the pork. Chop and mix it in together. Transfer it to a mixing bowl.
Let the salted fish cool down. Debone the fish. Finely chop into small pieces. Add to mixing bowl.
Season with scallions, white pepper and oil. Mix well. Add cornstarch and water to combine the ingredients.
Mix again and throw it against the bowl to make the texture more bouncy. Shape it into a patty.
Place the patty on top of the rice when the water has dried up. Cook/steam for 20 minutes until it’s fully cooked.
Top with white pepper & scallions.
 Enjoy!
